International Baccalaureate

The page gives the normal September 2012 entry requirements for undergraduate degree programmes in the School of Computer Science.

An approved English language qualification will be needed in addition to the requirements listed below.

Entrance Requirements for MEng Programmes

  • An excellent performance in local examinations before starting the Baccalaureate
  • Award of diploma with a minimum of 37 points including:
    • Grades 7, 6, 6 in HL subjects including mathematics
  • Approved English language qualifications include:
    • Grade 6 in HL English A or B
    • Grade 5 in SL English A or B

Entrance Requirements for BSc Programmes (excluding Computing for Business Applications and Internet Computing)

  • An excellent performance in local examinations before starting the Baccalaureate
  • Award of diploma with a minimum of 35 points including:
    • Grades 6, 6, 6 in HL subjects including mathematics
  • Approved English language qualifications include:
    • Grade 6 in HL English A or B
    • Grade 5 in SL English A or B

Entrance Requirements for BSc Computing for Business Applications and Internet Computing Programmes

  • An excellent performance in local examinations before starting the Baccalaureate
  • Award of diploma with a minimum of 35 points including:
    • Grades 6, 6, 6 in HL subjects
    • Grade 6 in SL mathematics
  • Approved English language qualifications include:
    • Grade 6 in HL English A or B
    • Grade 5 in SL English A or B
